Over 30 years ago I started a "side business". Not for some grand new service, or to exploit a huge market opportunity, I did it for fun. It was a hobby. I liked technology, history and making things, so I created a website where you could purchase things I found that interested me. Over the years, the company has grown, expanded and "tuned" it's product offering, but true to our core, the products are really just things that interest me.
And what do I find so interesting? The people. I have always felt that our competitive advantage was our relationships with people and families who run small companies with passion and a history going back decades.
Instead of ordering items from some faceless company, we go to see them, spend time to learn about them, have dinners, see their factories, meet their kids. We strive become part of their history by bringing their products to the marketplace.
Over these many years, deep bonds have been created as we came the distribution partner for these boutique creators of wonderful products. Products that can be directly connected to 70 years of post WWII history. We share the love of their products, but we also share their values and place in history.
We are proud of our history and our growth - from one simple website, to stores on all major platforms, with thousands of products! And now, with our newest store GLITTERED, we are striving to meet the promise we made years ago: To help our European partners expand their market, while bringing artists, crafters and manufactures unique products and a trusted friend in the industry. We exist to help you with your vision, your projects and to fuel your love of vintage and retro supplies.
And, yes, I am still having fun. I love the products. I love our customers. I love keeping the old world ways alive for all of us to enjoy. I hope you feel the same.
